With the federal government absorbed in waging unnecessary wars, the country continues to be in a major state of disrepair, and several sectors of our socio-economic fabric need urgent attention.

Mr. Jaffery is in favor of addressing the energy crisis facing the country by adopting the Hydrogen Economy that promises clean, affordable energy using hydrogen as the fuel source. Hydrogen is not only the cleanest form of energy, but it is most abundantly available in the universe.

While the rest of the world is going headlong to embrace hydrogen as a source of clean energy, this topic is barely mentioned in the halls of Capitol Hill, thanks to the lobbyists of the fossil fuel industry.

Mr. Jaffery will work to fix Virginia’s transportation challenges and help improve the state’s poor infrastructure. The widespread adoption of the Hydrogen Economy will also help resolve the environmental impact of vehicle emissions.

Mr. Jaffery is in favor of a single-payer healthcare system similar to the one practiced in other major democracies. He believes that it is unconscionable to have a healthcare system in our country that is hostage to corporate greed.
Mr. Jaffery is in favor of government financing of elections, thereby ending the role of money in American politics. He will work to overturn the “Citizens United v. FEC” verdict, thereby ending the era of Super PACs.

Mr. Jaffery wants to dismantle the current system of establishing an Electoral College for presidential elections. The Electoral College is the group of electors formed every four years for the sole purpose of voting for the president and vice president.

Mr. Jaffery believes that by virtue of being the wealthiest and most powerful nation on the planet, the U.S. has an obligation to play a primary role in bringing nations together and creating a peaceful world.

Mr. Jaffery is appalled at the genocide taking place in Palestine and Lebanon, and he wants to ban the sale of weapons to Israel. He wants a humanitarian solution to end the suffering of the people of Palestine.

Mr. Jaffery understands that a congressman’s responsibilities are broad because he is responsible to his constituents, not just for addressing issues at the county and state level, but also for voting on issues that have national and international ramifications.
