Naqi Jaffery for Congress


Naqi Jaffery, a proud American and a progressive activist, is a Green Party candidate for the U.S. Congress. A congressman’s responsibilities are all-encompassing, because he is responsible to his constituents not just for addressing local issues, but for voting on issues that have national and international ramifications.
Mr. Jaffery is in favor of government financing of elections, ending the role of money in American politics. He will work to overturn the Supreme Court’s Citizens United verdict, thereby ending the era of Super PACs. Mr. Jaffery believes in a world where participatory democracy flourishes and fundamental human rights are respected. He stands for the pursuit of peace and for ending the scourge of war, ushering in an era of peace and amity among the comity of nations.
Mr. Jaffery believes that by virtue of being the wealthiest and most powerful nation on the planet, the United States has an obligation to play a primary role in bringing nations together and creating a peaceful world that is both free and fair. Mr. Jaffery is a proponent of an active government role in addressing societal inequities and introducing reforms that improve the well-being of the citizens. He is a staunch advocate of policies aimed at social restructuring for the benefit of the common man.
In addition to progressive activism, Mr. Jaffery has been an entrepreneur, speaker, writer, and consultant, founding and managing several business operations. He is an award-winning analyst who has worked for some of the most reputable market research and consulting firms, making groundbreaking contributions.


Naqi Jaffery is a Green Party candidate for the U.S. Congress. He is running from Virgina’s Congressional District 10 (VA-10). Mr. Jaffery does not accept macro-donations from corporate donors but instead relies on micro-donations from regular Americans.
Mr. Jaffery believes in a world where participatory democracy flourishes and fundamental human rights are respected. Mr. Jaffery is in favor of strict limits on money spent in elections, and he wants to prohibit lobbyists from funding candidates.
Mr. Jaffery is a proponent of an active government role in addressing societal inequities and implementing reforms that help improve the well-being of the citizens of the country.
Mr. Jaffery’s primary focus as a congressman will be on addressing key issues confronting the residents of Virginia, such as energy, healthcare, and transportation.
Mr. Jaffery wants to impose higher taxes on the rich to fund social and economic reforms. Simultaneously, he wants to reduce the tax burden on low-income families.
Mr. Jaffery is in favor of a pragmatic foreign policy based on global consensus. The policy has to be focused on building relationships among the comity of nations, and on resolving international disputes peacefully.
Mr. Jaffery would like the U.S. to stop the funding of wars and to unleash a reign of peace and prosperity worldwide. In particular, he wants to stop the funding of Israel’s endless genocide.
Mr. Jaffery strongly supports the overturning of “Citizens United v. FEC” verdict of the Supreme Court that marked a major shift in campaign finance law. The 2010 verdict opened the floodgates of money in politics by striking down federal limits on independent political spending by corporations and nonprofit organizations.
Mr. Jaffery wants to introduce electoral reforms embodying ranked-choice voting in presidential elections. This allows voters to rank candidates and eliminates the “spoiler effect” of the current system.

“Suhas, Suhas, you can’t hide, stop supporting genocide!”
Mr. Jaffery is running to unseat Suhas Subramanyam who is funded by pro-Israel groups, such as AIPAC and the Democratic Majority for Israel.
Suhas was one of 45 Democrats in Congress, and the only Democrat from Virginia who voted with Republicans supporting a bill to sanction the International Criminal Court for issuing an arrest warrant for Israeli PM Netanyahu for conducting the Gaza genocide.
Moreover, Suhas never called for the U.S. to stop sending weapons to Israel that are being used for the genocide. In August 2025, there was a big protest outside the Leesburg office of Suhas in which the protestors chanted, “Suhas, Suhas, you can’t hide, stop supporting genocide!”
